So many options – which is the right one for my truck?
Our website is the most up to date with information and try to make it quick and easy to find the right product.
For the Peterbilt 579, there are plenty of options available when building a truck and as such we have many different cab and sleeper panel options available to add that extra piece to the truck.
The 579 is a versatile truck that has daycab options as well as 5 different sleeper configurations – UltraLoft, 80”, 72”, 58” and 44”. There is also the EPIQ aero dynamic package as well as short hood and long hood options – plus underbody exhaust or cab mount exhaust!
Because of the number of configurations and options, cab and sleeper packages are no longer offered in order to reduce the chance for ordering errors.
Our Panelite website is divided into easy categories – then broken down even farther into subcategories – so the user can find the right cab panels and matching sleepers.
Short hood models have a 117” BBC, while the 579 Long Hood has a 123” BBC. Either option can have cab mount exhaust – which are the stacks coming from behind the cab between the cab and the sleeper – or underbody exhaust, which are often found with fairing panels. If the truck has underbody exhaust, there is an additional aerodynamic package available called the EPIQ package, and our Research and Development team have designed specific cab and sleeper panels for trucks equipped with this package. As well, if the truck is an UltraLoft – which is a high-roof integral cab-sleeper truck – there are also specifically designed cab and sleeper panels.
While it might take a few extra clicks to make it through to the right category on the website – knowing you are looking at the cab and sleeper panels specifically designed for your truck eliminates the guess work.
